Do you burn more calories swimming than you do running or biking?

Running a 10-minute mile, for example, burns roughly the same amount of calories in 30 minutes on pavement or tread as it does

in a swimming pool. You will, however, expend more calories in the pool if your speed is closer to 11 minutes or more per

mile. When it comes to riding a bike and swimming, the narrative is similar. A 155-pound lady may burn around 260 calories by

riding the stationary bike for 30 minutes at a moderate speed. (That's over 100 less calories than running vigorously for 30

minutes.) If the lady increases the intensity of her spinning to an all-out effort, she may burn around

391 calories in 30 minutes, which is comparable to 409 calories from 30 minutes of butterfly in the pool.
