How do I keep my plant alive while on vacation?
Plants can live while you're away if you ask a friend to water them for you, let
them water themselves, or gather them together to increase humidity. In the
summer, many houseplants take a "vacation" outside. Bring them
back inside before the weather gets chilly, and gradually adapt them to stronger
light. Humidity is a favorite habitat for tropical plants. Put them in a pebble tray
(pot rests on a tray filled with pebbles and water), use a humidifier, or spray them often.
