How Do You Prevent Onions From Sprouting?
Eating your onions shortly after purchase is the most obvious way to stop them from
sprouting. But if you buy onions in bulk like me, you may use appropriate storage
to slow down the sprouting. Onions should not be stored in places with excessive
moisture content or heat. You may keep your onions in a dark place, such as a
pantry or closet, if you reside in a more moderate environment with little
humidity. On the other hand, you should store them in the refrigerator
if it's the height of summer and you reside in a more humid climate.
