How many servings of lean meats should one have per day?

A small steak should be consumed each day, or between 300 and 500 g of meat per person

on an ideal weekly basis. Even though they are lower in fat, this also applies to

red and white meats like fish and poultry. Patients with high cholesterol

should pick leaner cuts of meat, such as filet mignon, pork loin, or sirloin, and

restrict their intake of red meat to 3-ounce portions. Even better, swap out meat with proteins like

skinless chicken or turkey breast, fish, and legumes that are lower in cholesterol and saturated fat.
