Ingredients: 1 cup butter, softened, 2 cups sugar, 2 large eggs, room temperature, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, 5 cups all-purpose
flour, 1-1/2 teaspoons baking powder, 1 teaspoon baking soda, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1/4 cup 2% milk. Beat butter and sugar
together in a large bowl until they are light and fluffy. Include the vanilla and eggs. Mix flour, soda, baking powder, and salt; add to
creamed mixture in batches, alternating with milk. After 15 to 30 minutes, or when it's manageable, cover and chill. Turn the oven
on to 350°. Roll out the dough to a thickness of 1/8 inch on a surface dusted with flour. Cut with a 2-inch cookie cutter into desired shapes. Place
on oiled baking pans 2 inches apart. Bake for ten minutes, or until the edges start to turn golden. Take out of the pans and place on wire racks to cool fully.
