Is it safe to work out on an empty stomach?

It actually depends on your goals whether or not it's safe to work out on an empty stomach. It is not a good idea to train out on an

empty stomach if your goal is to grow muscle mass or strength since you run the risk of experiencing early tiredness, lower

endurance, and accelerated muscle protein breakdown. In general, I wouldn't advise working out on an empty stomach for

my athletic clients since the drawbacks will exceed the advantages. Light exercisers might be able to continue without

any negative effects when they exercise on an empty stomach. Those who have diabetes shouldn't work out while fasting to prevent dangerously

low blood sugar levels. For these people, I suggest having a little protein and carbohydrate snack before working out to assist their efforts.
