What is the 1974 Nickel error?

There are several kinds of nickel mistakes from 1974. Either human or

mechanical fault may be at blame. Doubled dies, repunched mintmarks,

cut planchets, and other instances are a few examples.  The 1974

nickel is composed of copper and nickel rather than silver. Any nickel from

1974 has its mint mark on its obverse side. It should be located at

the right tip of Jefferson's ponytail, and beneath the number 4 of 1974.
